Professional Experience
Reiner spent ten years in the automotive operations at Fluor Corporation, including managing 200 engineers as an outsourced service at a GM Opel plant and involvement as a project manager on the first BMW and Mercedes automotive plants in the USA. After moving to the UK he was Commercial / Site / Operations manager at ICI Polyurethanes followed by a period at Arvin Meritor Automotive. Since then he has occupied director level positions at Benteler Automotive, Commercial Vehicle Group, Lucideon, Cartwright Group and most recently as a consultant at a distressed Jaguar Land Rover supplier. All these positions have involved the successful transformation of stagnating operations leading to measurably increased sales and profitability.
Highlights include new product development for Dyson and others; supply chain improvement enabling a UK company to build to order with a supply chain stretching to Asia and Brazil; cost reductions and product differentiation with new special purpose modular vehicles increasing turnover by 238% and the successful scale up of high value made to order modules for a major auto OEM’s special vehicle operations, eliminating all arrears, exceeding run rate requirements and meeting all quality requirements.
