Jérôme Laurent

Jérôme is an associate of BM&T through its relationship with Prospheres, the French constituent of European Restructuring Solutions (ERS). He is an experienced financial accountant having worked at senior levels in large international companies for over 20 years. His experience ranges from financial management, statutory accounts in both IFRS and US GAAP, internal controls, tax and social legislation in France, management and governance and turnaround and crisis management. He has been engaged on over ten turnaround missions in mid size companies with revenues up to €100 million. He has worked in consulting with Accenture, in law offices, in manufacturing in France and in Turkey. With ERS Prospheres he has worked as a CRO and CFO in change management situations. He has worked as founder and owner of SGL Conseil in mid market advisory since 2016.

Professional Experience

Jérôme started with Schneider Electric rising to Finance Controller including CFO of Eastern France after a period in Turkey as deputy CFO. He moved to Accenture where he operated as a finance executive establishing systems and IT procedures. He returned to Turkey with Schneider as CFO for three years before returning to Accenture as CFO Resources France Benelux managing a team of 25. He spent time restructuring Orrick Hetherington & Sutcliffe’s Paris Office as CFO France and performed a similar role at AXA Group Solutions including six international subsidiaries. He spent four years with ERS’s French associate unit, Prospheres working on a number of turnaround and restructuring projects in the mid market before taking a more independent role with SGL Conseil. During this time with Prospheres he worked on assignments with SAP based production control and costing systems in two automotive suppliers on profitability by product line and material cost and labour and line movement accuracy. Worked on Accuride’s pre and post acquisition integration in France, Germany and Turkey.
